Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Mosaic Paradigm LLC ("Mosaic Paradigm", "we") operates the Yip - Dog Whistle app and yipwhistle.com.
Yip does not send your content to us. Your dog profiles, cues and patterns, training history, recordings, presets, and settings are never transmitted to Mosaic Paradigm LLC or to any developer-operated server — there is none. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics SDKs, and asks for no account. Limited information may still be processed by Apple, our website host, or our email provider, as described below.
What stays on your devices
Everything you create in Yip is stored locally on your iPhone (and, if you use the Watch app, on your paired Apple Watch). Yip has no server and no account system. The app's core whistle, clicker, and training features work without an Internet connection, and Yip does not send your app content to Mosaic Paradigm or to any developer-operated online service.
Copies of your data can still come to exist outside the app the usual Apple ways: device backups, transfers to your paired Apple Watch, and exports or shares that you initiate. Each is described below. None of them involve Mosaic Paradigm.
Your device backups
Like most iOS apps, Yip's data may be included when your device backs itself up — iCloud Backup or a computer backup — depending on whether you use backups and how your device is configured. Backups are created and controlled through Apple services, your device settings, or your computer, depending on the type of backup; Mosaic Paradigm cannot access, inspect, or delete them.
Deleting the app
Deleting Yip ordinarily removes the data stored in Yip's local app container on that device. A few qualifications: offloading the app (rather than deleting it) preserves its documents and data; the Watch app keeps its own small store on the Watch until the Watch app is removed; and copies you made yourself — device backups, or files you exported to Files, iCloud Drive, or elsewhere — can outlive the app until you delete them too. Yip uses no Keychain items, shared app-group containers, or iCloud containers.
Microphone
Yip only uses the microphone when you explicitly start a recording:
— Record a whistle (beta): audio is analyzed on-device, in memory,
to detect the whistle's pitch and rhythm; the audio itself is not saved to a
file and is not transmitted by the app.
— Record your clicker (experimental): the short audio clips you
record are stored on your device so the app can play them back. The feature
is intended for clicker sounds, but whatever you record is treated the same
way: stored locally, transmitted nowhere by the app, and shared only if you
export it yourself.
Exporting and sharing
Exporting a dog profile or a recorded clicker creates a file that you choose where to save or share (for example via the Files app or AirDrop). That is entirely under your control; the file goes wherever you send it, and Mosaic Paradigm receives nothing.
Apple Watch
If you use the Watch app, your cues sync between your own devices using Apple's device-to-device Watch connectivity, with transmission handled by the operating system. Nothing passes through Mosaic Paradigm.
Apple services
Apple processes the information necessary to distribute the app, handle your purchase, and operate its platforms under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Apple may provide us with aggregated App Store performance information and privacy-protected usage or diagnostic reports from users who have chosen to share analytics with app developers. Yip contains no developer-operated analytics SDK. Apple provides these reports subject to its privacy protections, and we do not use Apple-provided analytics or diagnostic reports to identify individual users.
Contacting us
If you email us (), whatever you choose to send — your email address, your message, and any attachments — arrives in the cloud email mailbox we manage; our email service provider processes and stores these communications in order to provide the mailbox service. We use them to reply to you and to keep reasonable support records; we do not use them for advertising and do not sell them, and we retain them only as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain appropriate business records, protect our services, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
This website
yipwhistle.com is a static site served by Cloudflare, which may process technical information such as your IP address to deliver and protect it. We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics and do not track you across unrelated websites; Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies when required to provide enabled security or traffic-management features. Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising or engage in cross-site tracking, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change our practices.
Children
Yip does not ask anyone — of any age — to create an account or submit personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy when Yip's features or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy here with a new "last updated" date, and provide additional notice in the app when required or when a change materially affects how information is handled.
